$10 less than anywhere else I could see right now. Ordered 2. Got super lucky with promo code SAVE20. Reduced price by $20 in cart. Go figure? Very happy with gift for the rents.

APC UPS Replacement Battery Selector Tool shows replacement battery = APCRBC154 but it's just as expensive as the USP new with the battery.

These are terrible. I have 4 kinds of battery backups on 10 PCs, lost power for maybe a half second to a freak brownout, and all other models were fine. 3 identical new versions of this couldn't hold power even that long and the PCs they were attached to all shut off instantly. The other 3 models (different companies) all stayed on without issue.

It's a small sample size, perhaps, but one was delivered broken and had to be replaced, so I ended up with bad experiences on 4 separate units and had zero problems with the others.

The best performer seems to be an Amazon Basics UPS, but YMMV, read reviews thoroughly before buying.

I had the same problem with units at work. I bought about 20 of them for every PC in the office. They all failed after a year and were basically useless. Very complete waste of money. You don't have to spend much money to get a much nicer unit.

Also for anyone interested in replacing batteries, there are plenty of good options on Amazon and eBay to replace the official APC batteries. The APC batteries are just regular old lead acid batteries so there's no need to buy APC brand. I mainly buy non-functioning UPSs from thrift shops and replace the batteries and they are as good as new.

Avoid APC i am on my third UPS within a year. Yeah they have been good about replacing them under warranty, but it is getting old.

I'm looking for a UPS, but would really like my next unit to be able to talk USB or IP to my devices (and ideally HomeAssistant) to be able to monitor the UPS and do safe shutdown if possible. Haven't seen anything like that on SD evar though.

Just a heads up, I have this same UPS and it will not run a ps5 at load. As soon as you launch a game the ups beeps constantly. It will run a PS4, other small devices, and tv all at once, however. The ps5 just pulls too much electricity for some reason.

I have bought several of these on previous sales, and all 4 that I have used have ended up beeping loudly at me after a relatively short time due to some sort of problem I could never identify.

Less than 3 or 6 months of use, being placed on different electrical outlets, even in two different houses, and with different types of items plugged in with vastly different voltage requirements, one with barely any power needs...

eg, I strongly recommend against buying these... good luck if you get one...

As long as they have the USB data connection on them (which this one does in the pictures), you can connect these to HomeAssistant through the NUT add-on/integration. I've had several working this way for over a year.
