The Bowflex C7 exercise bike is $900 at Best Buy, Target, and Amazon, with normal delivery times. May be an option if you are looking for a decent quality bike without a $500 a year app subscription.

This is the same bike as the Schwinn IC4 or the Bowflex C6, except with a screen and sold via retail stores. The bike gets very good reviews, the Nautilus/Bowflex/Schwinn JRNY app not so much. It should come with a free year trial and $149 a year thereafter.

This has been cheaper ($800 in July) but if you need one this time of year you may want to consider this.

Best Buy [bestbuy.com] - ends 11/8

Target [target.com] - ends today 11/6

Amazon [amazon.com]

If you have their credit cards, you can get a 5% discount (Target) or 5% cash back (Amazon). Target has a holiday price guarantee through 12/24. Some credit cards may add to the warranty.

People use these bikes with a Peloton subscription, but you need to use your own device to get the video along with the audio and it loses some features. The DIY Peloton wiki at reddit has some advice about using the Peloton app with this bike.

The Peloton is now down to $1500, the consensus is that if you love and will use enough of the live classes then go for that. There is some Chase Sapphire Reserve cashback on the Peloton now.

More relevant info in this popular Schwinn IC4 deal thread from July 2021, especially this post from technomaster.

Hows it compare to Echelon Ex5-s for around same price? (deal from last week appears to be dead). Would be hard to beat the Echelon hacked with Peloton app at $13/mo and using Qdomyos-zwift on your phone.
