couldn't you cancel the membership for full refund within 60 days? you are not getting a discount for the ps5 so i would think you would get a full refund.

Best buy tacks on extended warranty whenever you buy with TT. So if you refund the membership they deduct the cost of the warranty from the refund

THE TT fine print says they will discount the membership or something or other. Go to the very bottom of the smalllest print you can find.

Nice SD thinking! They do address that here: * Access to exclusive, limited supply items is a Totaltech membership benefit; the retail value of such items purchased during membership may be deducted from eligible refunds if membership is cancelled
But worth someone else trying for my own edification
Not even scalping, just a form of bundling. But instead of a extra game, you get a subscription
If you're gonna complain about Totaltech then complain about Prime too
Not the same thing. Amazon is not making people pay in order to buy something. A non-Prime person can buy anything on Amazon's website, same as Prime members.
What BB is obviously doing is preventing people from buying something they have unless (and only if) that person pays BB an extra $200 (even if they don't want what what $200 gives them... and most won't).
I respect BB for reinvesting themselves and doing good by their customers. However, this is a 100% BS move.

definitely worth someone else trying . I wonder if they can consider full retain price some sort of discount and if that provision is read literally you might have to return the "retail value" of 499. i think a person would have a good argument to say they got no discount and the service sucks so please return and probably would succeed. I have no experience with any extra warranty so I can not even make an uneducated guess on how that one might work.
