I've had 2 optomitrists refuse to give me that info because they knew what I was doing with the info instead of buying an identical pair from their shop for $300+. Costco vision center has a machine they pop in front of your eyes for 2 seconds and they give you the pupil distance. Didn't have to be a member, sign anything, or pay for anything.
I've been ordering glasses from Goggles4u for like a decade (five or six pairs per year because they're so darn cheap with promo codes working all the time). I've also ordered from Zenni. This year, I tried KITS when I needed glasses quickly and I'm very happy. Quality on the two pairs I've ordered has been noticeably higher than Goggles4u.

I ordered with anti-glare coating and it came to about $20 shipped. My first order arrived two days after placing it. Second order took 3 or 4 days. Around the time of the second order I also placed an order with Goggles4u (I like having a few pairs and the cost is prescription sunglasses is far more expensive with KITS since you can pretty much always use a 70% off code at Goggles4u). The glasses I ordered from Goggles4u took more than a month to arrive this last time.

Anyway, what I'm saying is that I'm a happy customer of a competitor and I'd still recommend KITS and buy from them again. I would note though that this code is on all the time, so this isn't a new deal or one you can't always get.
Yeah, I did that and then noticed in the order confirmation - verify prescription by phone and then in the email it states they'd contact my doctor about my prescription and to make sure my prescription is accurate because doctors don't always pick up the phone. Not sure if that's some sort of legal thing they just have to state or what.

I was a happy customer of Google4u for years. Now, seems like Goggles4u has gone down in quality imo and also customer service as well or maybe it was just me. I had two pairs ordered for my son with the same prescription as last year and the glasses came so thick even with high index lenses. Worked with the customer service, waited for another month or so and again the same issue. They said they would refund for one pair only after lot of struggle and never received a refund. Apart from that, the glasses I ordered have their coating scratched within months; happened for all three members of my family. On top of that, the coating was optional earlier, now it's mandatory. Good business strategy nowadays. When I was a kid, my glasses never had coating and lasted for years.

I have used googles4u for serveral years- always been happy- I have more glasses from them thean Elton John has. I do not like KITS website as much as I do Googles4U's. After more then 20 pair of glasses with Googles4U (usually end up less than $18 per pair) I have only had 1 issue with the non-glare coating- it was not even and caused glare. But that is pretty good for that many orders.

Agreed with the slide in quality. I mean, they were always prescription glasses for like $13-$20, so it was never master craftsmanship at play, but I have noticed a slide in quality also -- with the anti-glare coating peeling on one pair and then, most recently, the plastic pieces that go against your nose falling off on not one but both of the pairs of sunglasses I ordered last year within a couple of months -- and I work from home in a house that is mostly surrounded by forest, so it's not like I wear sunglasses every day. I was not impressed with how little wear they saw before I started losing the nose things.

They're so darn cheap that I'll probably still order sunglasses from them again (all of this so far about Goggles4u), but when I needed new glasses again two weeks ago, I ordered from KITS again with their BOGO offer. I am once again very pleased. I've been going through more glasses because I have young boys who like to roughhouse and smack the glasses off of my face, but the KITS once are clearly of superior quality. I think I'd be going through at least 3-4 Goggles4u pairs for every pair of KITS given the wear and tear they're seeing these past couple of years.

Well, chose the frame, got all my prescription and PD ready after combing through earlier emails, orders on Googles4U only to find Kits doesn't allow numbers over -10.0. Wtf…so frustrating. Don't bother if your glasses power is over -10.0

Need a pretty mild precription for this to be free, but I did get a free pair last time for my mom and the frame quality is much better than typical Zenni.

I'm a huge fan of Zenni and have purchased 8-10 pairs of their glasses over the past... 4? years or so! How do you think these hold up compared to Zenni?

Their prices always seem cheap which makes them tempting. I placed an order for the first time with them in November 2021 and I'm still waiting for my order. No updates or shipping confirmations. I talked to support two weeks ago they said it's on the way. Might have to contact them again to see where it is. So, if you need a pair right away might want to try somewhere else.
Zenni takes up to 2 months sometimes for glasses since they're coming from China. So it could very well be a backlog kind of a thing.

Zenni only had me enter in the Rx. Recent Eyeconic order made me upload a pic of the Rx. Maybe so they can verify and not have returns?

Where is a best place to buy prescription sports goggles for a teen kid? I checked my local shops, everything is above 500 bucks. Totally above my affordability

What's the catch here, other than limited and "generic" looking glasses?
