I've had 2 optomitrists refuse to give me that info because they knew what I was doing with the info instead of buying an identical pair from their shop for $300+. Costco vision center has a machine they pop in front of your eyes for 2 seconds and they give you the pupil distance. Didn't have to be a member, sign anything, or pay for anything.
I've been ordering glasses from Goggles4u for like a decade (five or six pairs per year because they're so darn cheap with promo codes working all the time). I've also ordered from Zenni. This year, I tried KITS when I needed glasses quickly and I'm very happy. Quality on the two pairs I've ordered has been noticeably higher than Goggles4u.

I ordered with anti-glare coating and it came to about $20 shipped. My first order arrived two days after placing it. Second order took 3 or 4 days. Around the time of the second order I also placed an order with Goggles4u (I like having a few pairs and the cost is prescription sunglasses is far more expensive with KITS since you can pretty much always use a 70% off code at Goggles4u). The glasses I ordered from Goggles4u took more than a month to arrive this last time.

Anyway, what I'm saying is that I'm a happy customer of a competitor and I'd still recommend KITS and buy from them again. I would note though that this code is on all the time, so this isn't a new deal or one you can't always get.
Yeah, I did that and then noticed in the order confirmation - verify prescription by phone and then in the email it states they'd contact my doctor about my prescription and to make sure my prescription is accurate because doctors don't always pick up the phone. Not sure if that's some sort of legal thing they just have to state or what.

Progressive lens glasses cost a lot more than other sites (Go or Ze).

I am not a lawyer, but I think that under Federal law your health care provider has to release a copy of your medical records. Tell the doctor that you are willing to contact your state Attorney General and licensing board if he refuses. I doubt that he/she wants that trouble.

Single item has to be over $39 to qualify. $19 sunnies don't count
I got that message when using the code. I even went back and added on an extra for the lenses to push it over the $38 price listed on the frames I like, and it still didn't work.

It seems the frames have to be at least $39 or more regardless of what you add on to it.

Don't waste your time. Upsells everything. Makes you by "thin" lenses +$50 etc.

Did you read all the posts that came before yours? I can't personally vouch for them, but this seems like an unnecessary question based on previous responses.

This is true, but the PD is supposedly not considered part of the prescription. I find it preposterous. I just went through this with America's Best. They said it was a new change handed down from corporate, based on some liability issue someone recently invented. We live in a litigious world...

I guess they won't even measure your PD unless you're ordering glasses from them. They're afraid of assuming the liability of the measurement if someone else is making your glasses. If they take the measurement and make the glasses, they are responsible for both sides of it and have the opportunity to fix it themselves.

Zennis used to include a pupil ruler with each pair of glasses a while back. You can probably find something online. Basically you put ruler under eyes to measure pupil distance.

Pretty great, I'd expect it to hit FP soon. Seamless process, just uploaded my pdf prescription and it was almost all automatic.

My insurance only reimburses for the frame or lens. Is the receipt itemized for each component/upgrade or does it just show the total?

I don't see any option for bifocals. Only progressives. Zenni and others do offer bifocal lenses. (My eyes don't tolerate the progressive lenses.)

Used code LAURA for same discount but free anti fog spray. AR coating added to the total, $25 shipped w/tax. Cheaper than similar from Zenni I guess.

I won't order from G4U, the last 2 pairs both failed in different ways (lens coating started coming off and paint started pealing on frame), poor quality and annoying customer service to deal with.

Hope these are decent, otherwise will try Zenni next.
