People fail to realize the real benefit of Microsoft 365 is the 1TB of cloud storage, 6TB for the Family edition. At $36.99 that's $3.08 per month for 1TB of cloud storage. Most look at the Office programs as free and are just paying for the 1TB cloud storage, which is the lowest in the industry at these prices.

Nothing wrong with the pay once standalone version but it's an inferior product when compared to Microsoft 365. The standalone versions eventually need to be upgraded as mainstream support ends 5 years after the version is released.

Office Home & Student 2021 is $124.99 at a discount retailer (msrp is $149.99). Over 5 years the standalone is $60 cheaper but doesn't provide the additional features Microsoft 365 offers - 1TB cloud storage, install multiple PCs, mobile apps, feature updates that the standalone version doesn't receive (have to buy the next standalone version to get them), etc. For most, paying $60 more or $12 extra a year over 5 years is well worth it.

Yes, you can apply more than one of these to the same Microsoft Account, each of which will extend your subscription by 1 year, up to a maximum of 5 years out. Source is the item "What happens if I buy or redeem multiple Microsoft 365 subscriptions" on https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/m...school-faq
I have personally done so myself - I found an amazing deal on these, bought 3 of them, and applied all 3 to the same subscription. Each one pushed my subscription expiration date out by 1 year.

Anyone seen any deals on the newest non-365 option? I was really disappointed when the Home Use Discount programs migrated to 365-only options... and then MS went back and (thank goodness) released an updated standalone product.

Good luck!
Jon

It says limit one per customer but can I do separate Guest checkout on the same home address?

Right now my dad has a subscription I bought him for 1 year family. Can I add these to the account and it just turns to personal at the end? He's the only one that uses it.

Or just buy Office 2019 or 2021.

Yeah if you add the personal subscription key to a family subscription it does the conversion on its own. You just don't get the full year

You will get taxed (where applicable) on this product so be aware. They ship the item, it's not digital.

4 hours since I ordered and no code. Should not take this long.
It's a physical box with code, not email delivery.
