The TigerDirect being referred to as decades old is incorrect. The name has been purchased and resold by different holding companies… the real store and warehouse no longer exist. Everything now is essentially drop ship… not judging this deal, just informing everyone you really have no idea where this product is shipping from… and if you have any issues, don't have high expectations for the getting 100% resolution.

Tiger Direct is legit, albeit maybe a TEENY bit shady. They have been in and out of court as long as I can remember. But in the end you'll probably get what you order. Historically, decades ago it was a bit of a close out online/catalogue retailer so it wasn't really ever STOCKING items, more just passing them on from wholesale resellers. They never really had the latest items, more the 12 month old version of everything. Some large retailer is probably moving these items through them at a discount.

I don't need 512GB so wish the Microcenter $799 5th Gen deal would come back. Maybe Black Friday but I doubt it. This is a good deal though. Assuming they ship.

I was going to try the Surface 8, but Youtube reviews show the 5th Gen 12.9 iPad rocks it screen wise.

Wow! Thank you soooo much for posting this! I just ordered a refurbed iPad Pro 12.9" (4th Gen) 128GB from Apple and the total came to $811 shipped to CA. This deal was $828 shipped to CA for the same model but with 512GB! Basically just quadrupled my storage for $17!

Thanks. I was just curious as to why some make the jump/upgrade and some don't. I bought the S7+ during the last big Samsung sale but playing with 5th Gen iPad makes me want to resell the S7+ for some sort of profit and get 5th Gen iPad. On sale of course.

The new model has a screen with higher peak brightness. Not sure how much difference it makes.
