The TigerDirect being referred to as decades old is incorrect. The name has been purchased and resold by different holding companies… the real store and warehouse no longer exist. Everything now is essentially drop ship… not judging this deal, just informing everyone you really have no idea where this product is shipping from… and if you have any issues, don't have high expectations for the getting 100% resolution.

No big difference. M1 is mobile chip. The difference between this and a12z is small on iPad, this is unlike M1 MacBook compare with intel cpu

So you are saying if this one pop up back in stock it would be $485 refurbished? I meant it's worth to check from time to time during the day. I got my air 4 that way. I had to buy 2 times as the first one they sent me with a big dent in the back. The 2nd one is flawless grade A with 10 months warranty left (they both have).

No. That ship has sailed. The current $699 price is still better than OPs deal if it comes back in stock.

According to geekbench, it seems the M1 chip is around 50% faster than the a12z chip. I wouldn't say that's small.
