After one android update that was released probably around a year ago(I honestly don't remember) the phone would randomly crash multiple times per day. It would just freeze and then I'd get a popup saying the system crashed. I had the phone replaced 3 times, same issue every time. No way to roll back to an android version without it.
It was frustrating to the point of being unusable. If you don't plan on doing something with the software, which I can't say what would even work, I would skip.

I know most of the new phones (starting Samsung S8) comes with locked bootloader and not worth your time to unlock it. Even after that not sure visible will work properly.
From the other thread (cant vouch for this)
copy/pasted:
Quote from littlebro :
Unlocking is a lot easier than expected:
1. Unwrap and power on (no need to insert a sim)
2. Skip through the setup process, but connect to Wi-Fi
3. Unlock permanently under Settings - Wi-Fi & Network - SIM & Network - Network Unlock
Bootloader unlock is trickier as a token from OP is required. Most users would not need it.
Thank you for posting a good deal.
Awesome! That's 2 reports of success. trying tonight
update: AT&T user here. Appear to have been successful, didn't swap the sim over yet to check
steps
1open & connect to WIFI like stated
2 go to the unlock setting. at the first attempt, mine failed saying it tried to verify with the network and couldn't
3 go to the unlock setting again. The screen changed and now I had options of "permanent" or "temporary" network unlock. Selected permanent, rebooted, and now the option no longer exists in the menu so it appears to be unlocked successfully
Also its been half an hour and no email confirmation. My credit card company already texted me about the transaction being charged.

Decisions...
How are OnePlus with Tradeins? Have an iPhone 6S lying around and they give $130 for it.
After hitting purchase it went to a "pending page" No order number, no email confirmation. It said wait 5 minutes before it shows up in my order status. It never did. It does show pending on my credit card for a few hours now.
Had to contact support to get them to link the order to my email/account. Still waiting on that confirmation email but at least I have my order ID and they claim the order went through.
