The top line stat is that relatively low 425W load rating (I might recommend including that in the title, as that is a more informative value that the VA rating) with only a few minutes supported near peak load (see the attached run times document). Also consider that the low wattage rating and simulated sine wave output means this shouldn't be used with a PC power supply, but might be fine for other electronics (this could be perfect for your internet modem, router, and other accessories if you're trying to give them some stability through brief power outages).

Just a request that you update the thread title to include 425W behind the 850VA rating.

Good luck!

I've been looking for a good deal on UPS and there isn't much out there right now. This looks like a great deal but the plug layout kills it for me. Seems too bunched together for larger plugs so effectively cuts the outlets in half. Thoughts? Just looking for modem, voip phone and stuff

I've used something like these before in this situation.

Would this be a good power backup for a sump pump?

I would say no due to sump pump handling flooding and if you lose power due to hurricane, then this battery backup will not last till the power comes back on and then could become submerged.

Different application. U really need one of those car battery setups to drive the power requires to move that water. This is not designed for that purpose.

you list three things that you want to plug into a 12 outlet backup and complain about the spacing...Pretty sure you can easily plug modem, voip phone, and four other devices into this...

Looking at the PDF, does this mean it
[tripplite.com]can only provide 2.3min of battery backup? Is that what it means?
