This has been a train wreck product since it was released on kickstarter. It never came close to expectations. Please look a different direction as you should not have to "rig" a $100 device to work marginally at best.

I'm surprised this isn't getting more attention. This thing works great. The range can be a pain at times but overall great. I bought a second one and came to post the deal.

Connect the sensors to an iPad and iPad to wifi. Then you can access it anywhere from the cloud

Yeah, pretty much. When I smoke a large cut, I can leave my smoker running and go run an errand or 2. I check on it from my phone (use an old Kindle kids tablet as a repeater in the house).

Given, I wouldn't leave any cooking completely unattended, someone is always home, but the cooking job is mine and mine alone on my smoker (pellet grill).

Usually I'll be home, but if someone wants to go grab a coffee or beer, I'm not stuck at home or having to phone in to have them try to check temps for me.

EDIT - BTW, Amazing deal OP. Between the pellet grill and Meater (both purchased this year), I've had a great year of eating.

I love mine. With a second one, can you run them simulatenously i.e. from the same screen? Would be great to have 2 for briskets

It does! The mobile app also works well. They do have a WiFi version which would give you more freedom or use an old mobile device like stated above. I love this tool and is a staple in the kitchen or BBQ up to 527*F. Never cover cook again and helps with planning mealtime. Great product at full price, better when on sale. The only issue, wish I could buy the WiFi block on its own.
