This is a great deal. The question for me though: Is this worth 2X the price of the Instinct solar that will be $250 starting tonight? Probably not, but it sure would be nice to have a fenix.

Definitely worth $50, probably worth $100 if you're not the kind of person who needs to have the latest version every year or two. I have a sapphire 5 plus, the screen still looks brand new.

I have a refurb 5x

Still going strong.

I am so tempted to buy it but no major need to upgrade it. I have an edge 530 for biking.

So if you are on the fence, buy it. You won't regret it.

This price is unbeatable.

It's absolutely worth a premium and you're probably paying more since it's a current model. I believe my 5X Plus was $400 and I have no complaints. My Instinct Solar is my daily driver and I love it as well. I'll put it this way. If I hadn't owned a Fenix before, I would have been completely satisfied with my Instinct. I just like having the niceties of the Fenix such as Music, VO2max, compatibility w RunPod, etc.

Have been wearing this watch everyday and night for a year, best watch I have ever owned. Saved me in the Los Angeles Crest Forest on a solo hike. Saved me from having to dig in my backpack for another Garmin device that would show me the way.

I have the 5X Sapphire as my daily driver and, while the case is showing wear, the watch face is pristine. And I'm not even remotely delicate with it.
However the altimeter is broken and the notifications suck. So I'm looking at this vs. the Venu 2. Any thoughts?
