I guess it depends on the use. In the Passmark world it's worse (20k vs 25k for the i7-11700k). It is $50 cheaper which is nice, but it also cost more for motherboards etc etc with the new socket.

Also beats the 5600x and slightly the 5800x (while using less power) for a $264 MSRP (12600kf).

Cheapest board is $180 last I looked on Newegg. But B660 the mainstream/value chipset should be here at CES in 2 months, should see boards starting around $120.

But yeah, id absolutely recommend the 12600kf over a 11700k, 5600x, or 5800x at current prices.
