It's ok to buy it for occasional printing and for scanning. But be aware, ink for this model is very expensive… (more expensive than the printer itself). It will reject printing even if you only run out of yellow color but still want to print black-and-white doc. I have the same one before…

There are like a million of these inkjet printers for free or for like $20 which are barely used.
Spend the money on Ink not a buying a new cheap inkjet printer.

Good post. Don't know why this deal is popular.
I've had an Epson printer before and never used color print. An year later, I go to print a Black and white document and the printer gives off a message that the color print cartridge is low and must be replaced.

I own the xp-440 Epson, and the price to get new ink is almost the same price I paid for the printer. It will be going to the e-waste section at the dump. Sad really. The machine printed well and it was easy to connect wirelessly to every computer I own. My local pharmacy has a photo printing Kiosk which surprised me on quality and price. So I guess I'll be using that from now on. I still am shocked by how much they want for 4 ink cartridges.

For thoes who say ink is expensive, go aftermarket. I have a epison ink jet I bought couple years ago from SD. If your doing printing once in awhile, ink jet is fine. If your printing tons I would look for something else.
If your don't use it once in awhile, you should do self cleaning option in your printer settings if your prints come out bad. I have zero issues and only have to replace one set of cartridges, I only print mostly black and white. Aftermarket has been fine for me. Also the standard ink cartridges have chips which will tell you "low" it's such a scam. You can put black tap over the clear ink viewing port and you'll get atleast 25% more ink out of these.
