I think he was just telling him that if he's a non gamer then no need to spend the extra few bucks for refresh rate and response time.
This is better than the Lenovo, I have both. This has HDR , 166hz and height adjustable. Definitely worth the price difference .
It is the same in stores.

I had this monitor about a month ago and returned it. There's a weird 3D effect in the corners that will make you lose your mind
I think what you're referring to is the blooming. I have the 4K model (cost nearly $800 before tax) and it's an unfortunate compromise you have to make to get a monitor with a high level of HDR/brightness. You only notice the blooming when the screen turns completely black so it's not noticeable 99% of the time.

Yeah, I'm considering this https://www.costco.com/lg-32%22-c...93227.html
I picked this monitor up a couple weeks ago and really like it for what I do, spreadsheets and the occasional YouTube/Netflix.

It's solid, just don't think it's a great deal.

how are you liking them? is the stand stable?

are you seeing the "3D effect in the corners" other people are talking about?

Does this have the same terrible anti-glare coating as the nano ips models?

I bought this the other day and returned it immediately the next day. It is terrible for any fast moving game. Terrible motion blur and ghosting. Only needed to test it for a few mins to confirm. And yes, I also noticed the "3D" effect along the outer edge of the monitor. Great price if you cant tell the difference.

HDR content on youtube did look beautiful.

This a good deal for non-gamers?
If you're not a gamer you don't need a refresh rate over 60Hz imo. Higher refresh rate is used primarily for FPS games. You wouldn't use this monitor up to it's main purpose.

This one might be better for you.

awesome price for a great monitor. just make sure you have a powerful enough gpu to utilize the potential of this monitor. 1440p @ 165hz is pretty demanding.

What do you mean? If I'm looking for productivity and some gaming am I better off looking elsewhere?
