Worse than Walmart HP deal. This one is more expensive with older CPU, inferior GPU.

What good is an expired deal that was YMMV as not that many were sold. $20 more for Dell I would go with that. Dell is known to include screws and such. It is quite possible you could add a 2.5" SSD to this and the memory is upgradable.

You are right about the CPU I3-1125 is at least as fast.

If I could get this HP you think it would be a better deal than this Dell with 8.5% CB brining it down to $365 pretax? thinking build quality will be superior on the dell.

Most all the Dell laptops we see here are Inspiron 15 3000. That is called the series. What is the model for this unit? The model is a separate number. I ordered one of these and that is how Dell classifies these laptops. It's right on box mine came in. Even Dell doesn't give the model number on their website page which this links to. It really makes no sense since the series designation doesn't tell you much. With the model number, you can download the service manual. With it you can determine if it has a Sata slot for a 2.5 drive in addition to the SSD slot. In other words are there two different slots for drives. Probably. As for more Ram, you probably have a second bay but you can learn for sure with the service manual. The service manual will, also, tell you the limits of upgrading.
