That sounds more like return fraud than a deal.
It can be any netflix account, if i remember correctly you get a link on your email for the credit and all you would do is click that link and sign in the with the netflix account for which you want the credit. I have purchased two and use it on a different Netflix account.
Chromecast has been the best i have used so far.
Last year I ordered 3 at 1x. No issues outside of backorder

Never received my Netflix credit. Called Customer Service said this is a known issue and the developers are working on it. Well if it's "known" they should have emailed the people who bought it and put a disclaimer on the website because they are still selling it. There is no ETA on a resolution. Anybody else not get their code yet?

Yep all steps completed. No email nor any code in the Home app. Thats when I called Google CS. Ping ponged between the Chromecast CSR and reverse logistics CSR for 1.5 hrs. No one has a clue if and when they will be sending out the code. Even worse the only option is to return the device and that 14 day window already started even tho they technically never actually completed the order (the bundle is a part of the order)... I have 3 more days to process the return (and may be stuck paying return shipping) - contemplating what to do here...

early this week, google sent out extra codes to people, who already redeemed their codes early this year. Now they are trying to over compensate their mistake by not sending codes to people who bought the new devices. way to go google.

Google has turned OFF the email that is sent from their system with the ability to redeem Netflix credit. I've talked with multiple customer service reps over the last week and nobody has any information on it.

Worked perfect for me, just activated a new Chromecast and during the setup it sent me the 6 month Netflix promo

I got the error message: it's not eligible please sign into the account you used to sign in your device.

I already signed in the account I used for the device. I only use one account. Does anyone else see this error while redeeming Netflix?

Yup - redeemed last night no issues. After activating the device, got an email code, clicked the link on my mobile device and it logged into Netflix and said credit applied. First time doing this - super easy.

Had the same issue. Was able to contact the support team and they escalated it to the engineering team. They said they are working on fixing an existing issue. Therefore they have shut down the Netflix credit redemption for now.
