M1 pro max starts at $3499 not $2300. If counting student discount, still $3199. For video editing like using final cut pro, Macbook pro should circle around this. But for gaming, this one should be much better.

which is a big plus if you are a content creator
screen is pretty darn good too but not 16" and only 1080p
if this had the Lenovo screen at 16" QHD, id buy this in a heartbeat
for now, I'm going to hold out for alderlake
