I am pretty sure it should be 40 like the OP stated, but who knows, I have gotten randomly wrong items from Amazon Warehouse in the past.
IMHO, even if it expires, it wouldn't be that different in taste. So stack up!
Side window shows the expiration dates. I see 1/2/22 and 12/31/21.
Probably going a bit past the expiration isn't bad.
