For those who are unfamiliar with this website, it's identical all-clad pots and pans as sold in store but at a much cheaper price. This will be my third purchase on this website. My first two (a 12 inch fry pan and a 4-qt pot) were in excellent condition with no imperfections anywhere. I couldn't figure out what made them packaging damage / second-quality.

Haha, I have to point out the obvious flaws here. You pointed out the company was started in 1971, and these will last 100 years. So, how do you know that lol? If they do outlive us, that's greatSmilie

All-Clad is the very best. It really will last practically forever. It's heavy, holds the heat well, and is just very well made.

You can buy a cheap one and be just fine. If you only use it occasionally, you're probably better off with an inexpensive one. But if it's something you use a lot and want to splurge, it's money well spent and a very good deal.

I take it you're not familiar with All-Clad. Yes, these will easily last 100 years. The brand has been around since 1971 and people have absolutely been handing down those decades-old pieces to their descendents.

We did a big order of this in October - great pans....bought mostly seconds last time, as well as a couple of damaged packing items. The damaged packaging were all in perfect condition in original slightly beat-up boxes with original warranty / cleaning pamphlet.....the seconds items we got came in generic boxes with no paperwork and had minor trivial dings/scratches on them - ex. our 12 inch fry pan had 2-little 1/4 inch dents. We don't mind but I do share this so people appreciate there usually is something (likely small / trivial) on the seconds, so if that matters to you, pay a little extra for the damaged packaging versions.

You should price check the item you're looking to buy before ordering. Some "second quality" pieces in my cart were only $10 more expensive new.

I ended up purchasing two d5 brushed pans at a steep discount. Thanks!
