I hate my current Honeywell "smart" thermostats, so pretty sure these won't be much better. Thanks for that insight.

I like to even out my spies. It's the only attention I get

Correct, your purchase interests and impulses are what they want to learn. Quit making "data" sound like they wanna imprison you so they can make Stark industry weaponry for world domination.

Farmer Jim bob thinks the federal government wants to extract his intelligence. Not everyone is that special and much much less is even close to considered, average intelligence.

The average American is an idiot. Or is it the average idiot is American.

Considering I have a Pixel phone, a bunch of Google speakers, and use Chrome / google.com, I opted for Ecobee to spy on me (it's linked to my Google Home).. heh

Why? I've had Honeywell thermostats for 7 plus years and they work well

We're building a home also, and after much research found that if you have 2 Amazon Thermostats in 2 different zones or floors, they cannot be independently controlled by the app. Both therms must have the same programmed schedules/routines, according to Amazon Tech Sup, and what people are saying in reviews. I just bought 2 EchoBee Lite Therms. But all of these maybe obsolete in 6 months, when the Matter standard comes out in firmware/update, for all SmartHome devices.

Are there any of these smart thermostats that work independently on wifi and do not have to be connected to any smart home systems?
