Home Depot has Just saw it on the floor In the aisle with the yellow sticker. The usual location in the shop vac area still has the original price which is like $49. I'm posting from my phone so maybe if I can edit this post later I can add the picture but I don't have a cool brick link or any of the cool stuff you all usually include in post. But thought I'd get this out there as soon as I could. Thanks

Update: 4hours later here to answer some questions the yellow sticker says it's "duststopper low profile cyc dust separ" 12.03 was 44.97 8/27/2021 1002-741-746

And it contains hard 90 degree elbow, 1 hose 36" 2-1/2" diameter, 1 dust stopper to go on bucket. I purchased because I need that 90 elbow since Home Depot literally doesn't have vac hose 90 elbow anywhere in store that will fit 2.5 rigid vac hose.

Also I would attach photo but I can't figure out from phone how to. Thanks

I have used and they work just fine. Don't hook up a dust collector with 500cfm, just use shop vac and it works great. I put edge of clear tape on fleet farm 5 gallon bucket extra tall and it works fine. You don't need Home Depot Bucket for it to work.

Is it the one with the sharper 90 degree elbow or the one with the two "sweeping" elbows? I think the older one with the 90 degree elbow has been on clearance at some places.

Interesting product…. Not yet cheap enough by me too try.

OP linked sweeping-angle one. However, it seems like the right-angle one (BS'd above) is the clearance item.

It's worth buying even at original price. I bought one at ~50.
It saves your filter, but yeah it depends on your use. If one filter last you many years, it's not worth buying.

These are great. For $12 you should definitely get one if you need a simple dust collection setup!

It connects to a 5 gallon bucket. The problem is that I fill up a 5 gallon bucket of sawdust in 1 day, and then the sawdust goes right into my shop vac, which defeats the purpose of using one of these.
I mean, it's obvious that you needed a bigger dust management solution.

For $12, might be worth it just for the elbow and hose.

These work great especially if you build a cart to stack it over your shop vac:

The hose that comes with it is just long enough to stretch from the vac to the cyclone in this stacked configuration.
It helps to add a gasket to minimize air leaks between the bucket and duststopper.

A DIY version for a cheaper price and works really well.

I don't see how the total price for the parts for the DIY version will be cheaper than $12.

I purchased this product last year to set up with my shop vac for a dust collection system for my woodworking tools and it collected 0% of the sawdust, everything went to my shop vac. Not sure if I got a dud but based on my experience I wouldn't take another one of these at any price.
Probably a dumb question but you did install the hoses in the appropriate locations, and not reversed, right?

This thing is very dependent to the tolerance of bucket lip to provide a good seal. I had to try several before I found one that would work with it. Most people have good luck with the orange HD bucket. The one that works for me is a left over sheet rock bucket. 5gal bucket lip design tolerance are all over the places.
