Home Depot has Just saw it on the floor In the aisle with the yellow sticker. The usual location in the shop vac area still has the original price which is like $49. I'm posting from my phone so maybe if I can edit this post later I can add the picture but I don't have a cool brick link or any of the cool stuff you all usually include in post. But thought I'd get this out there as soon as I could. Thanks

Update: 4hours later here to answer some questions the yellow sticker says it's "duststopper low profile cyc dust separ" 12.03 was 44.97 8/27/2021 1002-741-746

And it contains hard 90 degree elbow, 1 hose 36" 2-1/2" diameter, 1 dust stopper to go on bucket. I purchased because I need that 90 elbow since Home Depot literally doesn't have vac hose 90 elbow anywhere in store that will fit 2.5 rigid vac hose.

Also I would attach photo but I can't figure out from phone how to. Thanks

I have used and they work just fine. Don't hook up a dust collector with 500cfm, just use shop vac and it works great. I put edge of clear tape on fleet farm 5 gallon bucket extra tall and it works fine. You don't need Home Depot Bucket for it to work.

hopefully someday we can get shopvacs that have this type of mechanism built into the bucket. maybe you get a whole lot less capacity due to the space, but at least in a single contained unit would be nice.

The item scanned for that price. The shelf was marked as $39 because the display was the newer model. You have to grab a box behind it that's a single sweep.

Look for yellow sticker on boxes somewhere dumped in middle of walking aisles. ...
Thank you guys for the information! Thank you, OP! Repped!

I didn't even know there was a newer model (not on the same shelf in this store) and just automatically assumed the price shown on the shelf was the correct one for these boxes. So a few minutes ago I went back to the store and scanned the box in my cart. It's $13.03. Nice!
Got home and tried it right away. Worked very well.

That's exactly what I was thinking!! I lack the talent to put something like that together. Maybe someday we'll get these things integrated into shopvacs. The future is now!

It's worth buying even at original price. I bought one at ~50.
It saves your filter, but yeah it depends on your use. If one filter last you many years, it's not worth buying.
Also emptying a bucket is much easier and less messy than removing the filter and lid from shop vac and then dumping the vacuums bin.

So, I already bought one of these to build the shop vacuum robot unit from youtube. It is amazing by the way, I paid full retail for 50 bucks, but it was the version with two elbows. Seeing this deal, I had to check my local inventory, which said they had 3. I go over there, and I check the ones that are up in front. I scan them with my home depot app and they are the new ones. I look up and sure enough, I see some other ones stored up high. I ask them to get the ladder. I can see that one of them looks a little different, but the first one he brings down is the newer one. I act like the reason I want it is because it is the single elbow that is a right angle, but not the 13 dollar price tag. Lulz! Another guy comes over and pulls down the 13 dollar one. Woot! He says it is the 13 dollar one, and I'm "thank you", and out of there. Haha. I think it was the only one they had, but I wasn't going to wait around to figure it out. I go to self-checkout and laugh. We did it, team! We did it. Mission accomplished.

I mean, it's obvious that you needed a bigger dust management solution.
It's like saying this compact car sucks because it couldn't easily fit 6 people ..

Like others have stated, I've had limited success with this device. The ability to successfully separate the dust is fairly low in my experience. I ended up relegating it to use as a secondary reservoir while the primary is a custom built using a Oneida Dust Deputy.

You might give it a shot for the price, but if you're looking for a dust separation system for a vac you use regularly I'd look elsewhere.

Thanks OP, I got one.
Been meaning to build either a homemade version or a Thein Baffle but hard to beat $14 out the door. (I'll need to figure out either a hose extension or adaptor as hose is just a little too short to mount the bucket atop my 12 gallon metal tank 'Contractors' Shop Vac, with heavy duty thick wall 5 gl. paint stripper bucket - a little taller than most 5 gl. buckets will not collapse. Shop Vac is 30 years old 2 stage motor).

I bought one of these a couple years ago and it's worked great. I have it hooked to a fairly small Ridgid vacuum and it collects almost 100% of the saw dust.
