FYI - Eddie Bauer no longer has a lifetime warranty. Everything looks to be only a year now.

I bought this last year and didn't like it at all. The fit ended up being rather baggy and it was VERY thin. Just be aware when you buy this that you're buying basically a shell, not like a winter coat.

And yes—it did smell very bad.

FYI : Eddie Bauer no longer offers lifetime warranty. I have a lot of Eddie Bauer jackets with lifetime warranty. Now, they don't offer lifetime warranty. They have 1 year warranty. They even denied warranty for my jacket which is bought less than a year ago. Now I am stuck with jackets that easily ripped. I only wore it for a few times Microtherm 2.0 down jackets (pertex quantum material) and EverTherm 2.0 Down Hooded Jacket

That is because you didnt dry it enough / properly. Down takes a LONG time to dry, and requires 3-4 tennis balls in the drier.

REI has what looks like a slightly better jacket, from a better retailer (IMO), for the same price. https://www.rei.com/product/15416...et-20-mens I'm not sure if you need to be a co-op member.

If you want the hoody version get the eb650 from sierra trading post. Tag says cirruslite bit I'm guessing sierra gets a deal by not saying "cirruslite"

Also this is an ultralight down jacket. It will keep you warm while being active but for sitting around its too thin.
