FYI - Eddie Bauer no longer has a lifetime warranty. Everything looks to be only a year now.

I bought this last year and didn't like it at all. The fit ended up being rather baggy and it was VERY thin. Just be aware when you buy this that you're buying basically a shell, not like a winter coat.

And yes—it did smell very bad.

Some reviewers say it smells, others say they washed it and it still smelled of feathers (although, I agree, down garments take a LONG time to dry and need to be dried with drier balls or tennis balls to fluff up that down. I don't want a smelly jacket. I also don't like hearing from the end page posters who reported "no returns". That steers me away from this "deal" even tho' I have a $10 promo from them. No deal for me but thx for posting.

I followed the steps outlined in this deal and after completing the checkout details, I see that I am still being charged $9.99 for shipping. Jacket is 39.99, tax is $3.62 and shipping is $9.99, bringing my total to $53.60.

Looks like I am not the only one to discover this. Any way we can save the shipping charges?
