I have both. I use the store card for all Amazon purchases, and the other one for purchases outside Amazon. Not really sure why though.

I've tried this several times. Each time they need to confirm my identity with my home address. I don't get ANYTHING to my house. No bills (everything is paid online or sent to po box) even my license is a po box address. The only mail I get with my home address is spam stuff, and even then the postal lady writes nasty notes to only use the po box number.

I've had to give up because I don't have anything to prove it.

I am confused about the eligibility with this card. My friend and me share a prime account with his email.
How do I apply?
If my friend decides to end his prime, do i still get the benefits with this card?

Equifax is probably the worst company on the planet. You have to suck them off just to lift the security freeze temporarily

I would try back with another representative, sometimes some employees are more strict than others. I just asked and they gave me the extra 50$ not as a gift card but as a promo credit, and I applied 2 weeks ago for the 150$ gift card. Just go through the credit cards support option on the live chat and ask nicely, if they say no try again in a few hours with a different representative. Here's a copy and paste of my conversation.

Thats good to hear, you already get the $150 welcome gift card.
For information, there is no fix amount of welcome gift card upon approval of credit card. It will change in no time.
Some of the customers only get the $100 welcome gift card not $150.
