Shark Ninja RV2502AE Robotic Vacuum for 449.80
This seems to be newer model than RV1010AE and has more capacity.

I called shark ninja and the representative was able to give me another 10 percent off. Total: $401 without taxes with the coupon.
This includes 3 years VIP warranty.

The same model is $50 more in Amazon.

This is the new model from shark. This model has lidar, object avoidance, no go zones which are important functions you should consider if you plan to invest in a robot VAC. What is missing from this model is a mop feature at this price point. However it isn't a deal breaker since in most competing models the mop feature is kinda worthless. However it appears the Roborock s7+ might have gotten it to work properly but that model is a couple hundred more expensive.

What is different with this model compared to other self empty robot vacs is thay the self empty bin is bagless. Which can save you some $$ down the line.

I just picked up this VAC from bed bath and beyond for $399. It currently is on sale for $499 and you can use the easy to find 20% coupon to use in store.

Just from my personal experience I like this model a lot. This VAC mapped my 2400 sqr foot home in about 30 min and was super accurate.

Just to compare I tired two other vacs. I tried the ihome nova that is on sale at Walmart for $269 but had issues with mapping. Also this VAC will not dock on carpet. The dock needs to be setup on a hard surface.

I also tried the deebot t8+. It should be in sale at best buy for $449 around black Friday. This VAC was great but sometimes the app couldnt connect to the VAC without me doing a power cycle on the VAC itself. After reading reviews it doesn't sound like anyone else had the same problem I did so I might be an isolated case.

So after trying three different VACs I think ill be staying with the Shark AI.

Please note. On Friday shark direct with start their black Friday sale. My guess is that the VAC will be $400 just like OP was able to get by calling in. What is worthwhile buying from shark direct is that the current offering includes a 3 year warranty which includes cost of shipping if your have any issues with it. UPDATE: looks like Shark didn't change the price for black friday. Perhaps the $449 is the regular "sale" price.

Also beware of other self empty robot vacs on sale this black friday. Most of the sub $400 do NOT have LIDAR. Which I think is probably an essential feature if you plan to invest a significant amount of money on a vac. LIDAR is key to mapping your home and object avoidance. If you are looking for a non self empty vac with LIDAR the one I seem to like the most is the WYZE robot vac.

UPDATE: Vacuum Wars just released their video review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wf35om-Z2L0

Thanks OP. I was able to get the extra 10% off for calling in the order. I just asked ... "since I'm a new customer can I get the 10% discount" the sales rep was able to do it after a 2-3 minute hold. Just like the OP said after the additional 10% off the shipped price before tax is $401. Note you can't stack coupons online so you need to call in for the extra 10% off.

On Friday 11/19 Shark will have it's black friday sale. My guess is that on black friday this vac won't be much cheaper than $400. I opted to buy it now because the current offer includes a 3 year VIP warranty. I am worried that if I wait until the black friday sale the vac will be around $400 but only include a 1 year VIP warranty. Of course I could be wrong but I think the 3 year warranty is important to me because of the high failure rate of robot vacs regardless of the manufacturer.

FYI the VIP warranty includes free ship both ways for any claims and replacement if needed.

Best value for LIDAR self emptying units? I get the impression Shark is improving fast with robots?

I should add I tried the Wyze robot vacuum with Lidar and it was awful sadly. It deleted all my no go zones and remapped every time it turned on and CS was of no help.

Just called Shark Ninja and they gave me the additional 10% off as well for a total of $401 before tax. 90 day trial period and 3 year warranty is amazing. Thanks OP and other commenters Smilie

would the non-bin version of this be a slickdeal at 249.00? Not sure I want to spend that much but I am looking for a robot that is really good at not getting hair stuck in the brush.

Will this run a schedule without having a phone with the app connected to the internet? I have read some robot vacuums don't run schedules locally and need an always connected smartphone to initiate a cleaning cycle.

This one has scheduler to start automatically any time any day of the week.
I got mine and I like how this one was able to map the house so quickly without needing to go alongside of the walls.

Doesn't seem worthwhile to get a vacuum that lacks self emptying into a base. This brand/model is starting to look like the top model for me.

Edit: Appears HEPA filtration is only in the base. Kind of worthless since it runs around your house spewing allergens all over. Looks like a pass.

Looks like a slick deal. Torn between this and the deebot T8 for the same price at Best Buy. Both LIDAR, both self-emptying.

T8+ in a landslide. Watch the vacuum wars reviews. Also I own the t8+ it's incredible. Gave my parents my old Roomba i7+. That thing is trash compared to the t8+. side note, I have 2 shedding machine huskys which I got this for. handles all the hair like a champ. you can buy cheap aftermarket bags for the base station on Amazon.

Hows the brush vs hair tangling on this one? Thanks for the detailed info btw.
