They were pedal powered , but there was something fun about riding like that. You can maneuver much better and are closer to the ground. Plus, these are safer for the kids to hook up things like wagons etc.. vs using their bikes.

Bought 2 of these a couple years ago for $25 each at Walmart. They were on clearance. Surprised they still sell them. Figured they weren't selling them anymore was the reason for the discounted price.
