It's not likely that they will be a great deal with drives included and you probably don't want to buy it that way. Differeny people want different sizes, types and numbers of drives for their individual use cases. Some want enterprise, some for video, some for frequent reads/writes and some for archival backup. I buy mine diskless then load then with the drives ai want. I often buy 10TB or 14TB western digital External drives from bestbuy when they go on sale for $190, then remove the drive from the enclosure. There are videos online showing how to "shuck" the drive. WD had a recent bulk deal for 4 Red drives that wasn't a bad price, but shucking externals was still cheaper.

I have the 920. The Celeron CPU is really anemic for any serious transcoding at 1080p. Lots of stuttering and buffering, even with an 8 gb ram upgrade You can forget about 4k.

For Google you're paying for a subscription, for this you're paying once (plus for the drives) and then you own it, so long-run this is better price-wise (assuming you want a ton of storage).

As far as features, you're trading off knowing where the backups are and what they're being used for vs extra features and off-site storage + more redundancy but they use all your stuff for profiling and stuff.

No. You can’t really transcode 4K with any of these NAS cpu

Because it's $550 today and most of the year
Unless you have a time machine or want to wait indefinitely, it's a good deal compared to the regular price.
Awesome to see this here, I'd much rather deal with BH customer service than Newegg if anything goes wrong.

Been waiting for a 920+ deal since prime day. Was afraid it wasn't going to happen due to chip shortage.

920+ vs 420+ for $40. Which is the one to buy?

How is this not a deal? It may not be the lowest historical price but it's still a great deal? Are deals in your book only deals if they are at the cheapest price ever???
