Eufy has cheapened out on these Eufycam 2 Pro cameras compared to the exact same camera models produced last year. Apparently they have changed to an inferior chip in these cameras that requires different firmware. Maybe it's due to chip shortage issue. So you can have multiple Eufycam 2 Pro cameras with different components and different firmwares.

It's known that at least the newly produced cameras don't support privacy zones (this feature is missing in the app for such cameras). And it seems the recorded audio is worse too. Maybe there are other deficiencies, but Eufy isn't disclosing them.

There are some threads on eufy's forums and on reddit about these issues.

This is false about these cameras having storage on them. The storage is in the base station for these. You're thinking of their standalone cameras that come sans base station.

The video is stored in the base, which is 16gb. The camera come with magnetic mounts and screw mounts for a little more secure mounting outside. They also have an alarm feature that will sound if they are touched or moved. The magnetic mounting would be ideal for indoor applications.

Is this system better than wyze outdoor cameras? I know the resolutions are different but interms of features is eufy better than wyze without subscriptions?

Sorry, no idea. It may be a lottery exactly what version of the camera you'll get. From my experience, I know that several Eufycam 2 Pro cameras purchased last year from bestbuy.com are the "better" versions compared to the Eufycam 2 Pro cameras purchased from bestbuy.com in recent weeks.

Any good deals this year on just cameras without the homebase? I think I can get away with using an indoor camera outside since it is under cover so no preference there. Just looking for 2k

This! I have a year with 4- eufy 2c pro cameras. They're mediocre at best. Good if you want to see whats going on around the house but actual security, catch someone stealing your stuff or something I might trust them to work 50% of the time at best. Out of the box I had a faulty camera which eufy replaces. Then I had another one replaced with a faulty refurb that I've been emailing back and forth with them for 2 months to get replaced.

If you want real actual security cameras that will catch someone doing something for sure, go with a wired setup that has 24-7 recording.

From everything I read eufy is the best of the wireless. The blink xt didn't work at all at my house. They're ok but definitely nott surveillance

Need to buy 2 security camera and I already have a doorbell with homebase, does anyone if I should buy the whole set with the homebase or just stand alone cameras? Not sure if the current homebase can be shared with extra devices.

How about 2c pro for much lower price than this $237.99 at eufylife . 2c pro has spot light for better night vision . The spot light reduces battery by 50% which is 6 months per recharge . Still a better worth for better security coverage at night
