“When Russia blows up all the satellites”, YOU will not go to work.

Don’t worry though, you are more likely to not go to work than Russia is to blow up GPS satellites.

Yes it does.

No. You’ll record on either the drone or goggles.

You can share that to a tv.

Now you can output the fpv feed from the goggles to a phone or tablet in real time via usb-c. So if say you had a usb-c to hdmi you might be able to.

Not only advisable, but required by law. If you are just a hobbyist flying for fun and not Part 107 Certified, you are operating your drone under "49 USC 44809: Exception for limited recreational operations of unmanned aircraft". Among other requirements, one of them is the following:

I'm still trying to decide whether to get the DJI V2 Goggles with an analog mod or Fatshark HDO2s with SharkByte...

I have the DJI V2 with analog mod and really like it. I get the best of both worlds.

Don't you only get the fly more kit in addition which can be found for $300 normally. The hard case and the beacons also comes with the basic kit

Just curious, would it be advisable to have someone with you while flying with the headset on? I can imagine someone approaching you if you're by yourself and if it's a certain element of our society, things not going well. Only reason I ask is I'm curious if the headset has a bypass that let's you view your surroundings while flying. It would be slick if it gave you a PiP or a HUD while being able to view your surroundings. I suspect neither at this price point.

Not only advisable, but required by law. If you are just a hobbyist flying for fun and not Part 107 Certified, you are operating your drone under "49 USC 44809: Exception for limited recreational operations of unmanned aircraft". Among other requirements, one of them is the following:

I primarily want the goggles, but this makes it tempting. No case, though. Right?

Correct, I know about you needing to be able to visually see the drone at all times, but was curious about how the headset works, if you can't be aware of your surroundings while flying, unless you're saying that you need a spotter that has a visual of the drone while you're flying.
