Not only advisable, but required by law. If you are just a hobbyist flying for fun and not Part 107 Certified, you are operating your drone under "49 USC 44809: Exception for limited recreational operations of unmanned aircraft". Among other requirements, one of them is the following:
(3) The aircraft is flown within the visual line of sight of the person operating the aircraft or a visual observer co-located and in direct communication with the operator.

I have the DJI V2 with analog mod and really like it. I get the best of both worlds.

Don't you only get the fly more kit in addition which can be found for $300 normally. The hard case and the beacons also comes with the basic kit

Just curious, would it be advisable to have someone with you while flying with the headset on? I can imagine someone approaching you if you're by yourself and if it's a certain element of our society, things not going well. Only reason I ask is I'm curious if the headset has a bypass that let's you view your surroundings while flying. It would be slick if it gave you a PiP or a HUD while being able to view your surroundings. I suspect neither at this price point.

Correct, I know about you needing to be able to visually see the drone at all times, but was curious about how the headset works, if you can't be aware of your surroundings while flying, unless you're saying that you need a spotter that has a visual of the drone while you're flying.

I literally just bought this two weeks ago from Best Buy spur of the moment full price. And they charge a 15% restock fee. Poo.

I believe if you are still within the return period, bestbuy will refund you the difference.

I should note bestbuy also has it on sale now.
