Oled it's always a risk, just part of the tech.

All OLED screens risk burn in, but AMOLED are less bright than traditional POLED screens found mostly in TVs, so the risk may be slightly reduced. As long as you auto hide your task bar and set a shorter screen off time in power settings you should be okay. Of course if you have a static image on your screen for long periods of time the risk increases.

New laptop. No reason it wouldn't receive the windows 11 update for free.

Have you noticed any changes to the battery life after the update?

Edit:
I'm sorry to see my post has received -5 thumbs down. If it's truly unhelpful then apologies. To add context though, when I found the thread every post mentioning Windows had a thumbs down for no apparent reason, hence my post below. I thumbs upped each of those negative posts to bring them back to neutral. Cheers.

—————————

No reason to thumbs down questions/comments about upgrading to Windows 11.

Yes, these laptops are hardware compatible and eligible for the Windows 11 upgrade. The upgrade is NOT determined by Samsung, but rather by Microsoft's scheduled rollout of the Windows 11 UPGRADE via Windows Update.

If you want to upgrade just make sure your Windows 10 has all of the latest updates installed, and wait patiently for Windows Update to tell you it's "your turn" for the upgrade.

I know because I have a Samsung Galaxy Book Pro (the non touch version of this deal). The upgrade was painless and fairly quick…just don't stare at it twiddling your thumbs—impatience makes it seem longer lol.

Please leave opinions about liking Windows out of this thread as it's irrelevant to the deal. There's lots of opinions you can search for, but they're not necessary here.

Have a great day!

I am seeing that option too. Do these open boxes include full manufacturer warranty?
TIA!

I would get this instead of a $1200 dell XPS on sale of similar configuration.

Reading reviews makes it seem like the heat transfer/dissipation isn't good enough for how thin they made this laptop. Scary for longevity.

Brightness hack: set brightness to 50 in intel display app. Night and day difference for me.

If you are concerned about burn in, dont buy this laptop at all, whether it's the default settings or this brightness hack.
