Great deal especially with accessories! Is it better to get 24-70mm F4 lens for $300 more or get prime lens instead like 50mm or 85 mm instead for portrait shots?

The 24-70 is very well reviewed and far more versatile for a do it "all" lens. It isn't a portrait lens though so if you want that bokeh you'd be better served by the 85 or 50.

This isn't the 24-70 kit lens though bud. This is the cheaper 24-50.

I use the 24-70 on a Z7 and have been very pleased with it. I do Portraits and find that I really use the 85 the least of all my lenses. I had the 24-70 2.8G lens and this is better. I really like the ability to change focal lengths by touch rather then different lenses. I've come to realize that the 85mm is a one trick pony. This is the whole circus. To be fair on the 85mm, I use the 70-200mm E for 85. My other main lens is the Sigma 40mm art which is my workhorse.

I would be willing to bet that most portraits are shot at F4 to F11 which kind of makes the Bokeh aspect meaningless. Number one, a person buying a Z5 is going to struggle with the depth of field at F1.4 or 1.8 in many situations.

just a tip. You can buy 24-70 F4s all day long for 400-500 on ebay or CCL.lots of people bought kits and didn't need the lens.
