I was looking up how the game played on switch and it seems to have framerate drop issues. People on reddit were saying to get it on pc or ps4. I'm probably going the pc route, because a game manual and 5 songs download doesn't seem worth it in my opinion. Though this price IS cheaper overall compared to other versions.

I don't know why people buy Switch and then complains about frame rate drops. Literally every game I played in the last year drops below 20fps at some point. If you're going to do that you might as well skip the console altogether lol

Ys8 had framerate drops too but was still perfectly enjoyable on the Switch. For me the portability trumps the performance as long as its playable.

I loved VIII but couldn't really get into this one. The gameplay is just as good if not better but the entire game takes place in one city which was kind of a bummer after the deserted island setting of the last one.

Don't buy the Switch version, it has awful frame dips going to the 10s and 15s. Its a good game, but play it on the PC or the Playstation instead.

Don't think it's unreasonable to expect games to run at 30fps.
