Worth qualifying Early Access isn't any additional cost.

What's the difference between the normal edition? Is it just the NVR?

Built in 128gb SSD and the biggest one for me, the ports are POE.

So in a home environment this would connect to your modem? I presume this has wan aggregation to work with a device like sb8200? For above gigabit speeds?

Ngl, if you don't know what this is, there is a 100% chance you don't need it. Want is a different thing, definitely get it if you want it.

Has this gotten actually stable and useable now? I went the route of edge router and USW switch because of the reported issues from the previous version.

Except they aren't PoE+, so you are very, very limited on what they will work with. Can't use the AP6-LR, can't use the AP HD or AP SHD. If you have 6-Lites, then those would work.

I have the DR Pro, and was excited to see this in stock again until I saw the differences. Same 1Gbps backplane as the standard Pro also means if you run multiple APs, they will be bottlenecked by the backplane.

Running APs on this is a bad idea. So in the end, I am better off with my Pro since it was a lot less expensive and I only use one LAN port to go to my Unifi 24 port PoE switch, which does support PoE+ and doesn't have the backplane limitation.

If you don't have dual WAN requirements over 1Gbps, or can't get a normal DM Pro, this isn't a worthwhile upgrade overall. If they had improved the backplane or made it PoE+, it would be a different story.
