Not a bad deal at all. I think this is equivalent to the Asus ROG from Walmart last month (that is finally popping up in store inventory the last week or so) for $999.00. Same 3060, same CPU, same RAM, same HDD. The difference is the ROG had a better 500W PSU (and was modular), but this one has a better SSD (ROG was 256GB) and is $10 cheaper.

So the real question is what is worse, dealing with Walmart and getting a smaller SSD in exchange for nearly full modularity, or grab this for $10 cheaper, get double the SSD, but deal with proprietary parts?

Pick your poison.

Have this and love the size, weight and look of it. I was disappointed in RTX 3060 and sold it for around $700. Waiting for a decently priced GPU and I'm fine waiting for a while. The 5700g isn't too shabby for 720p gaming.

I tried multiple coupons on HP site and the two that work yield the same price before taxes $989.99. Thanks Suryasis for the post I have been looking for a "budget friendly" gaming PC.
Coupon Code: WINTER10 or HOLIDAY10

How're you guys getting $989. I'm getting $1035 and I can't apply the coupon. It says it's not applicable for products in the cart.

The coupon WINTER10 works for me. Just applyed once it was in the cart. But I have no idea what the other guy is talking about, and what other offers there are. I am interested if there is more to save on this...
