New deal is do a free trial of Google One (upgrades storage on email, photos, and cloud) to get 3 months of Stadia Pro free. After that use the $10 off they give you for joining Stadia and buy a $40 game for $30. If you buy a game for $30 or more you get Google Stadia Premier Edition free.
Is it possible to use the controller with iPhone to play iPhone games?
Thank you!
You do not have to have a Stadia Pro subscription to play in 1080p, but 4K / HDR requires it. For the $10 a month sometimes you get deals or % off of purchases, ability to play in 4k, some "free" games every month.

A word about those "free" games... they tend to suck. Seems like the same stuff you see on PS+, Humble Bundle, or free from Epic store etc. Don't expect any AAA stuff to show up. I ended up cancelling Stadia Pro after I finished Cyberpunk... none of the other games they offer interested me (Mafia 3 a little bit, but I also already have it from PS+)
Now as far as gaming experience goes... it is going to depend VERY heavily on your internet connection. I know that sounds obvious, but even having good internet doesn't automatically guarantee a 100% happy experience. I have 100mb FIOS, hard wired into my living room and into the Chromecast Ultra (it will accept ethernet). When I was playing, I was very aware of "peak time" when Stadia was busy and would make my gameplay hiccup or disconnect every so often. This window was usually 5pm-8pm CT. If I played earlier or later the service was not as busy and didn't experience nearly as many hiccups. Weekends were a crapshoot.
When it works, it works so smooth you forget you are streaming at all. Cyberpunk played well and looked great in 4k. When it gets choppy, it becomes frustrating with the hiccups, frame jumping, and outright disconnects.
Google being Google, they could decide to pull the plug at any time. This makes me wary of buying a bunch of games on Stadia... but OTOH there aren't that many games on there I would pay money for anyway.
TLDR - get it cheap and it's a good deal for a Chromecast ultra if nothing else.
We've had Stadia for a year now and our family absolutely loves the service.
Do you have any details on how to get free trial?

I can see Stadia being for popular with families and kids, there are certainly quite a few of those types of titles. For $10 a month and $20 controller/chromecast buy in, it is certainly a cheap device for the kids to beat on. Even cheaper if you just use a pc and whatever controller you have laying around, just play in chrome.

So, with the Ultra all but defunct, why buy one? Because it's the only Chromecast that works with Stadia and can stream games on a television. The Chromecast with Google TV will reportedly get access to Stadia streaming sometime in the first half of 2021, but that means you'll have to wait for the update.
You can play Stadia on your phone, PC or laptop, but streaming games on your TV in 4K is an awesome perk. If you decide you don't want to wait for Google to add the service, then you can buy the Google Stadia Premiere Edition, which includes a new Chromecast Ultra and the excellent Stadia controller. With these in hand, you'll get access to our favorite Stadia games months before Chromecast with Google TV owners.
The Ultra will never get access to Google TV, but many buyers won't mind: there are plenty of Chromecast alternatives for you to try for streaming, while relying on the Ultra for casting specifically
