Neat but wow expensive. If my kid wanted something like this, I'd spend the same (too much) cash on some microcontrollers and neolights from adafruit and tell them that they have to learn to design it themselves. At least they would learn something and maybe design something more functional.

hmm, not a bad idea. Considering how much I was going to spend on building a 6-foot long SMS based marquee to put in front of my teenager's computer, this could be an alternative.

Dropping the wifi has been the best communication device to price ratio so far though LMAO

I don't think so, but to be wireless they'd be a bit more expensive since they'd each need a battery
