appears home depot have revealed the pricing on the ryobi link modular storage system. despite ryobi saying these will be available in December, some of the items appear to be in stock @ my nearby home depot stores, and therefore orderable online.

I've been wanting to buy those since they announced, but seeing the price points is making me hesitate. might look for an alternative if i can find a good deal during the BF season. Hope this helps you to decide if you should wait for the official release or shop for alternatives.

You shouldn't expect drastically lower price points compared to red or yellow. They're plastic boxes, so either they're well made or they're crap. Not a ton of extra bells and whistles for price differentiation, just basic build quality and function.

I'm a little bit skeptical about the effectiveness of this system as well but they'd have to really showcase the use cases if they want to win me over. I'm not sure it's much better than most other solutions but I'm open minded enough. I think the prices are a bit high for what I perceive I'm getting here, but maybe real world use is better than I realize.

I like Ryobi as much as Milwaukee, but those are Milwaukee prices they're asking for instead of Ryobi prices.

It's just a variation of the Milwaukee Packout system. They'll be decent. Buy them on sale just like the Pack-out. The garage storage ideas are huge wastes of space though. I build my own shelving and actually have most of my One+ stuff hanging overhead using the Ryobi lanyards on threaded rods. Much more effective for me.

Oh man, I am glad I used my tools to build something to store them in.

these are just junk
i love how you are able to determine this just by how they look in photos. you went from "these look like junk", to... "these are just junk."

long term the mothership is more likely to offer discounts on the yellow vs the red. So that the red team feels premium
