The main difference between the two is that S7000 only has 2 cleaning modes (Light and Normal), while S7001 has 3 cleaning modes (Light, Normal, and Deep Cleaning). The S7001 also has a front LED light to see the cleaning surface better. So this depends on your personal preference on whether you want that extra mode.

Some additional tips: I personally have been wanting to buy a steam mop for a long time so I did a lot of research. First of all you cannot expect these steam mop to do heavy duty cleaning like those crazy pressure washer you see on the street cleaning. However, they provide quick and easy cleaning for most general applications. You should also still keep a manual mop in your house for when deep cleaning is really needed. With this knowledge in hand, I would say for most people the cheaper version should suffice. If you can splurge an extra $20 then you should as the deep cleaning mode from S7001 is good for spot cleaning purposes.
That first review is maybe the most thorough review of anything I've ever read

I got one for the house with tiles & it works flawlessly. I got it from bed bath and beyond last time when it was the same price but with ad additional 20% brought it down to around $100.

I think if you pay with Klarna before Nov 22, you get additional 25% off on top of any coupon.

I'd stay far away from any product like this. Once that pad is wet, which will happen in a couple minutes, its litearlly just smearing dirty water around until you are done just like a swiffer wet jet. These are horrible if you have grout. Itll appear clean, but really it has just spread out the dirt evenly so it is blended in.
Something like the tineco or bissel crosswave at least suck the water up as you go.

Ive been looking for a deal on something like a crosswave that uses steam. Then you wouldnt even really need chemicals based on my experience with the oreck steam mop. Vacuum with agitation and steam with dirty water extraction would be amazing.

That $160 regular price is bs. I bought mine from Amazon for $130 awhile ago and have noticed the price staying there for a while.

Can you use this as a general steamer? Like cleaning granite?
