For those who already own Parks, this is not a minified version of Parks, it has its own unique gameplay. The concept of the Sun setting and gradually turning the tiles to night side is very cool.

I bought this but never played it. Was going to play with four adults. We started watching the ten minute long youtube video on how to play. 8 minutes in it seemed like most of the game mechanics were just luck, and the ones that werent were a bunch of stuff with complicated rules about scoring that most people wouldnt care enough to bother to learn. We put it back in the box and played Clue.

I own Parks, the Parks Nightfall Expansion, and Trails - all of them are pretty fun games and have nice art & pieces. Definitely worth getting & trying out! If you like the art, you can get prints of your favorite parks here:

I picked this up a few weeks ago. I've played it a few times now.
Likes: Very transportable - played while camping.
Easy for players to learn all the rules about 5-10min in to a game.
Games last only 15-20 min or so.

Dislikes: Fairly simplistic gameplay
Primarily variability is what badges are offered - and trying to make combos with those.
Each player's focus shifts to what resources other players are hording to anticipate what badge they want to purchase when they get to the trail head / trail end.

It's fun for a short quick game when traveling or car camping. At this price point I think it's a pretty safe bet you'll get value out of it!! And it isn't too complex for kids at all.

The Artwork is cute - and the rating at Board Game Geek of 7.4 I'd agree us pretty accurate. I'd personally give it around a 6.5 or so.
