Biggest weird issue the game has is difficulty balance is not especially well-designed. If you're underleveled for the area, enemies will chase you, start with advantage more, and be harder to kill. If you're strong than the enemy, it will run away, making it easy to start with the extra BP. Thing is, you get full experience for killing weak enemies, and you just win very quickly that way by just unloading all your BP at the start. As a result, difficulty snowballs quite a bit: if you're ahead, you get experience quickly by winning easy battles and get further ahead; if you're behind, you'll comparatively struggle to work your way through. That's why you will see some people talking about how overwhelmingly easy it is, and others feeling like it needs to chill out sometimes.

I used to love these kind of games.. even still do, but priorities priorities.
Per the details you provide I can comfortably opt out. Repped.
