Awesome, thanks. My first time looking into this as Christmas gift giveaways. That knocks off 4 kids off the list.

Pretty sure the engraving is limited to four characters.
Sadly, I actually use this to legitimately keep track of my car.Carjackings are up nowadays
I hadn't heard of changes in 15.2, care to elaborate? Currently they make noise and alert Apple devices if an AirTag that isn't yours is following you.
Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank striders
So a thief can do the same and then disable the Airtag that you placed in, say your bike, purse, etc.
update: yeah can individually engrave
Only 4 digits allowed (I think). Very short

Lol! I mean in all fairness, this is a very legitimate and very reasonable concern. Use for stalking is absolutely unacceptable.
In my case, I put one in my car in my bolted down gun safe and it is hard to hear. I haven't heard the media going nuts for people buying gps trackers for cars…. Some are small. So I like that they don't offer a digital disable option and that the battery has to be removed. Then it allows me to lock it up in a large safe like I've done which….. I have yet to see a tiny Airtags safe that would make it easy for stalking. So if someone does steal the car, they will have to break into the safe to disable it.
I admit tho my SO has one on the keychain. It notifies me almost every time I go pick something up. It gets kind of annoying. I wish there was a way to turn off SO tag notifications. Like a "never notify me of this tag" thing.
I also wish I would be notified when someone else has been notified my tag is with them. Why? Because it notifies people of the serial of a device I own. Why? My car is closer to my neighbors house than it is mine due to split garage. Is their iPhone going to notify them they are in range of my device? Am I going to be in court with all my Apple data subpoenaed….. effectively removing my right to privacy of ALL my account data over an airtag in my car?
Thinking out loud. The system could use work for those wanting to track their own things during a theft.
And food for thought…. Couldn't I get an iPhone SE with find my turned on and put that under the bumper with a battery pack??? Just saying… If you want to get technical…. More than one way to stalk a cat. Speaking of I really want to use this on my cat. Hahahahahaha. But I know he'll turn me in the first time I don't get food out before 8:17am. Hahahaha.
At the end of the day I appreciate the no stalk feature. But I also support theft prevention. The police really aren't there to help you find a stolen car. Stolen police car though. 😱 You'll get every type of felony and charge for that one I'm sure. Funny how the world works isn't it?
