It is not an earth shattering issue, but makes the WAF low compared to old receivers and old "dumb" TVs.
No, I never had eARC issues with LG 65" 7300 series 2019 TV. I read few reviews about that issue and soundbar going dead in about a years time but I have been lucky so far

Not sure if the signal was trying to lock on initially or there were too much wireless signal interference.
All in all I think it's great for a soundbar at this price. The Vizio smartcast app is also great for a remote control replacement & has more features built into it.
Mine ended up being interference from my router. New router and I have no problems now

Why do you have to lie to her?
It's not so much a lie, it's kinda like "It's probably updating.." because I don't know what's actually happening and I don't think it's worth contacting tech support. I think it puts our mind at ease thinking that it updates when there's a possibility that it's failing over time.
