If you're going to buy (or not buy) something, it pays to learn a little about it instead of spouting things that may or may not be true.

There are other postings about them pulling this kind of non-sense trying to milk every penny out of their customers. You have been warned.

I guess they could go back on their word but the loss of good will would cost them much more than they could make by forcing paid subs to continue using the machine. All these grandfathered Cricuts still use proprietary supplies. I imagine those sales would plummet if they dared and those users would go elsewhere. I think Cricut learned it's lesson last spring.

They're not now, and the backlash from that ill fated announcement has likely pushed that decision off a long time. In the meantime, the machine does a lot of stuff and is VERY useable without a subscription.

You can create your image in Inkspace, but then to have it go to the Cricut machine, you need to save it as an SVG and upload it using it Cricut Design Space (and you are limited to how many images you can upload per month unless you pay a monthly fee). Is that correct?

So ya are saying you CANNOT use your own:
- customs designs if it's not connected to the internet?
- can't operate the machine
- REQUIRES a paid monthly subscription
