Informational note: Topaz switched to a semi-subscription model. I believe the way it works is that when you buy, you get a license to use the software and a year of updates. After your year is up, then you can keep using the latest version you have at that point, but no further updates unless you pay again. Full info: https://support.topazlabs.com/art...e-licenses

So don't just buy this to stockpile it. But this is a very good deal.

this is tempting.. and i dont even have time to use raw files. is this useful for modern cameras like a7iii and the likes? how does the denoise compare to Dxo ?

Thanks for the alert. I've got a buddy that is about to buy it, so this is perfect. I bought it last year and paid $165 after applying the usual easy to find 15% off coupon applied to the $199 price. Along with Lightroom, I use it weekly for my macro and wildlife shots. I can't live without it these days.

Amazing price. I paid $140-something over the summer and thought that was a decent price but $84 or $99 is "must buy" for anyone who shoot RAW.. Denoise and Sharpen AI can be miracle workers. Outperforms LR in these tasks by miles.

Gigapixel and sharpen are border line witchcraft. It's not quite ncis level enhance that, but it's pulled certain set of photos that were Way gone. I'd say it saves photos that were guaranteed throwaways about a third of the time.

Denoise is also strong

Tried with some old photos I had, it takes it's time but great results. I don't like how human skins look fake, but on animals is amazing. More testing needs to be done

I use all three programs and the results are outstanding! You don't need to just use the software on RAW files only, it works on JPG great. On my work flow, I do all adjustments in Lightroom, export the photos out at 2000pix longest side as a JPG, then run the photos through Topaz DeNoise AI for denoise AND sharpening. Sometimes, I'll run the photos (or a test photo) through each programs to see which program produces the best results.

I do have DXO (Nik software) and Topaz work much better. Topaz does an excellent job on separating the the subject from the back ground. It denoises the BG, then sharpens the subject perfectly.

I highly recommend all three programs!!!

Thanks op, tempted. Unfortunately I already have Sharpen AI on its own, which is amazing, so I'd be paying for that again. I've been a user of NeatImage, a competitor, for noise for years and happy with that as well. Not sure if topaz denoise is better or if I have a real need for gigapixel since I'm already shooting everything in RAW (might be good for old/low res photos I guess).
