No screw hole in the back. It's too big & heavy to mount with a thread, would bend the screw.

That's hilarious now I mentioned my setup, where did I do this again? 🤔

Hmm I believe you're the one saying I have an "ego".
All I've done was ask questions based on things YOU said. If you feel attacked it's coming from you! 🤔

The funny part is you don't even answer them, I wonder why! 🤔

Here I'll give you a lob question:
Please tells the brand/model of this remarkable receiver that somehow "downmixes" the "Dolby Atmos" algorithm(codec) to only the two front main channels?

Some soundbars have way more than two speakers, so your saying it's going to be more "accurate" than your 570's?
I think what this all means is the 570's are awesome speakers. Great imaging and sound stage for their size.

If that is what he had said/meant I wouldn't be debating/questioning his opinion on how good or bad the 570's sound to him, we all hear things differently.

My whole point was you can't listen to "Dolby Atmos" thru just the 570's and as an example on how skewed peoples opinion are regarding it.

This would have been done long ago had he just said oops sorry I misspoke I meant "the 570's are awesome speakers, great imaging and sound stage for their size" but I'm hoping it's just his ego stopping him.

If not it's a perfect example of how this "psychoacoustic" study can be mumbo jumbo, it has him believing he is actually listening to "Dolby Atmos" thru two speakers!

Anyone know if the Studio 530s would be a worthwhile upgrade from the Pioneer BS22 that's been in SD previously?

Yep I grabbed a pair of 580's to go with my 590's.
An extra 12% back is just icing on the cake!
Only got 5% back on my subs ordered 2 days ago.
Wish I had waited now.
Oh well. All good deals regardless

My code was in the first email you get after signing up for the newsletter. It was DXR-9N7-XDZ-WWG
Above the shop new arrivals banner.
It doesn't tell you that is the discount code but that is what worked.

It's a one time use code so mine wont work for you. You need the code from your email, copy and paste it. Make sure blank spaces weren't added before or after the code.

Soundbars rely on bouncing signals off of walls to simulate physical speakers to the sides and rear. This is exactly the same concept that upward firing Atmos speakers use, which you strangely don't seem to have issue with. Any modern surround capable receiver downmixes the incoming Atmos signal to the number of speakers connected. Algorithms! For example, a center speaker isn't required. If missing, the receiver sends the signal to both fronts using an algorithm (there's that word again!). What you call "mumbo jumbo" is at the core of object-based Dolby Atmos surround sound. That incapability to grasp that makes you uniquely unqualified to discuss surround sound. Stick to speakers, something you have at least some understanding of.

Geez stop already, you keep sticking your foot farther down your throat!!!! 🙄

"Soundbars rely on bouncing signals off of walls to simulate physical speakers to the sides and rear"!!!

Earlier you said the 570's "were able to simulate a 360 DEGREE FIELD" and that the "rear 180 is simulated through change in phase and volume"!!! 🙄

All sound bounces of walls, it's not restricted to soundbars! 🙄

An "algorithm" codec is a completely different topic than some study on how humans perceive sound(apples and oranges)!!!! 🙄

Dolby Atmos is a sub set codec to the core surround sound codec, there is no "algorithm" that separates the core codec from the Dolby Atmos codec that you say this receiver you have does!!!! 🙄

As you can tell you didn't give us the brand and model of this receiver that you say did this for you!
If I'm incorrect please by all means give us the brand & model?

Yep. That was the code. The original still would not work. Applied the second time and received a new code. This one worked, but was only for $10.00
So all in I got the pair of 530's with the free headphones for just over $200. As you said WAAHOO!!!

It's automated so you should have received it in 30 minutes to an hour tops, check spam folder and promotions if it's not in your inbox.

Mine came almost instantaneously. Pretty pumped about the JBL stuff at these prices.
Fingers crossed the UPS Wrecking Crew gets them here in one piece!

The only disqualifier is "new subscribers only".
If you have ordered before try a different email address.

I'm an idiot, I was just clicking on the one that popped up on the product page that just said "free shipping" once I read it. 😂 repped, thanks

I did decide to order the 530s. If you sign up for their emails they send you a $10 off code and raku10 has 5% cb. Makes it $228 for the 530s plus the headphones which go for $70 on ebay. Just too good of a deal to pass up even with BF/CM not here yet.

That said the Emotivas are on sale, kinda. The whole website gives you 20% back in credit/$50 on the $250 B1+s at the moment. That said I honestly don't know what I would do with that $50 credit looking at the rest of their stock. Given this though I'd be a little surprised if they have further sales on top of that which is one of the reasons I didn't hold off on this deal.
Thought I would follow up and tell you I jumped on the 530's yesterday. The "Rat" was paying 12% back from JBL. That along with a $10.00 off coupon got me the pair with Headphones at just over $200.00
Pretty "slickdeal"
Chime back here and let me know what you think of yours.
