My daughter wants a laptop she can edit videos and game as well. Is this a good one for the price? I know absolutely nothing about the specs needed to do what she needs.

Depends upon what kind of gaming. For any kind of demanding games, this isn't suitable as it doesn't have any dedicated graphics card. And that dedicated graphics helps in video editing too. Look for budget gaming laptops and right now there are plenty deals posted here in $900-$1000 range

I would recommend this gaming laptop. Some commenters are saying the build quality is not the best but connect a mouse and keyboard, then you're good to go.
For gaming and editing, you should look for laptops/desktops with dedicated graphics card. I would search "3060" (name of a popular dedicated graphic card) on slickdeals and go from there.
can anyone give some thoughts on amazon's laptop return policy please. Can I purchase and use it for a bit to test the laptop (within the 30 days period) and return back in the original packaging back to amazon?
How would this do for photography and editing? I currently use Photoshop and Lightroom with 36mp raw files. Would a gaming laptop be any better? I do value portability since I shoot tethered on location from time to time. Thanks for any advice and suggestions!
