Wow, after a lot of people just a couple of days ago bought their deal, they now throw in a free case? I guess they like people making returns. I'll do that if GameStop matches the deal.

It appears the the credit works on anything sold by Amazon, and digital only refers to the fact that you won't have a physical gift card/code in your hands.

Is the case worth it? I bought this before the carrying case was added to the promo. Amazon CS just credited me $50 for the case but I'm not sure if I should pocket the money or actually buy the case. Any recommendations?

I wouldn't recommend the elite strap...there's a billion of them on amazon like BOBOVR. There's a pretty well known cracking issue with the elites.

IMO no. Plus if you get a different strap like the halo ones it will not fit in this case. Better to wait and see what accessories you end up buying first then deciding on a case later.

Was chatting with a rep and initially they were dead set on not offering price matching since I bought the original deal Sunday. After playing a little hardball he said he was gonna talk to a supervisor. Came back and offered me the $50 courtesy credit to buy the case on my own. The key is to get them to bring in the supervisor.
