If you have gmail and your account hasn't been inactive for 30 days, use the +1 trick. So if your account is [email protected], create a new Hulu account at [email protected]. It's the same account on your end but Hulu will see it as a different email address.

Good deal. Just want to take the time to say that the number of commercials that you have to sit through on their regularly priced ad supported plan os nuts. I could see 1 1:30 minute break during an episode, but there are like 4 during a 40 minute episode.

This was not working for me. I kept getting a "Page Not Found" after clicking the promotion while logged in to a previous Hulu account with no subscription for over a month.

I had to try this on another computer and then it worked. Some cookie issue I guess on my system.

correct, you can take any gmail email address and any number of alphanumeric characters by adding a + sign. It is a way to create disposable email address and create rules based on which email it was sent to.

I used discover to pay for last year's 1.99 plan and got the whole year for free.
This year, I created a new account with new email, but had to use PayPal with the same discover card to get the .99 plan working.

I don't really watch Hulu, but I must get it if it's free, right? 😉

I just canceled last year's $1.99/month plan before it could charge regular price this month. Was afraid it would be the same hassle as last year, finding a card I haven't yet used, and a new email, but was pleasantly surprised that they let me log into one of my old accounts from years back and add the promotion to it, with my current Pay Pal account. (Would like to get the $15 streaming credit for a year of monthly streaming charges from my US Bank GO Altitude VISA, that is only six months in at this point, but I can't use it again for payment since I used it with the current account. I wonder if I use it through my Pay Pal account, if the US Bank VISA will still count it as a streaming plan payment, and not a Pay Pal payment...)

An important thing to note; I've read that if you cancel your subscription with an outstanding gift card balance, YOU FORFEIT YOUR REMAINING GIFT CARD BALANCE. This would be a huge loss in my case, so it is better for me to take the retention offer of 6 months at $2.99/month and skip this year's deal. I'll have to reevaluate again next year.
